Jane Lane
Jane Lane was an avid outdoor enthusiast throughout her life. She moved to Vermont from Jackson, N.H. two years ago to be closer to her nephew Chris Copley.
Copley says his aunt was always looking for adventure.
"She went to Alaska, and hitchhiked from Anchorage up to Fairbanks, which is pretty awesome, when she was in her late 20s. You know, she had been to Europe numerous times skiing with a ski club that was based right outside of Boston. And then in the summer, they had mountain bikes, but we would do a little mountain biking, some canoeing, you know, definitely hikes all around the Mount Washington Valley. She was my role model for sure about like, living it up and travel, you know travel was a big thing. And I always admired that about her, was that she loved to travel, and she was very inquisitive and very, very much into adventure."
Jane Lane died on Dec. 12, 2020 at St. Albans Health and Rehab. She was 81.
