I felt like I did something positive, and I still do.
The 20th anniversary of 9/11 is also my 20th year of service for my town fire department. Watching it unfold hundreds of miles away, I felt like there was nothing I could do. But one day I went down to our fire station and volunteered. It didn’t help the 9/11 situation, but it helped me and our community. I felt like I did something positive, and I still do.
