[Vermonters], like the rest of the world, could not acknowledge the many tens of thousands of people who were saved. Many do not realize, because no one will speak of the heroism of New York's finest to get the 80,000 plus people out of the Twin Towers complex. I have seen so many of my fellow Americans become full of fear, anxiety, anticipation, paranoia, distrust, and loss-of-confidence.
